Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

We arrived at 101 W Congress Parkway at around 7:45 AM for a 9:00 AM interview appointment. Screened through security, and up the escalators to the receptionist on the second floor, who took our interview letter and gave us a beeper/pager with a unique # and kept and wrote the same # on the interview letter. The interview was fast and simple we did the swearing in with the whole do you swear to tell the truth the whole truth. "Yes" and we showed documents that we are married and they took photos of us then asked were we met and how long we are married for and they said your application has no inconsistency so the IO said "you will have the GC in 1 week so look out for the mail". Have a nice day. Easy in and easy out. On the B2 visa the lady said as long as the country is honorary with the us Any One can file for a AOS on a B2 visa any other state not noticed by United States will need a marriage visa. "But you are fine"

First, we went through airport security (metal detector), took the escalator and when to the reception. Talking briefly with the reception lady, she told us to wait for our lawyer and he would give her the letter. The waiting room had about 50 people waiting in it.

Our lawyer got there at 10:10, gave the letter, and we got one of those "restaurant" beeper.

Around 10:30, we got "beeped" in. A nice lady met us at the door and asked us to join her in her office. She introduced herself and told us she would be our officer for the interview.

First we stood, and were placed under oath. Asked to see our identification, my husband drivers license, and my passport and I-94. I also showed her my Illinois drivers license.

Then she verified the information in our files, asked the YES/NO questions again. I was asked if I was registered to vote o... read complete review
